I fully agree. This was a newly rebuilded CentOS5 System hosted at 
1und1. So maybe they changed something on their own.

In addition as this was a brand new system I decided that rebuilding it 
with something else is faster than me chasing bugs and maybe loosing 
support because I have to change their base system somehow. The System 
is currently rebuilded with openSuse 11. I'll keep you updated.
