The cleanup and redesign in Cuis' text subsystem are mostly in Cuis 3.3 
and some additional details will be in next Cuis release. But most of 
the features you saw on the video are Styled Text Editor specific. You 
need to ask Bernhard (bernhard at pieber dot com) about them.
