Dear Azka,

as you may know, the development of Scratch 2.0 is now done in Java. All the
Squeak development have been stopped unfortunately. Some months age, some
people have started a port of Scratch to Pharo and there is working version
available here : https://code.google.com/p/scat/

More recently, this port has been continued and is now called Phratch:
https://code.google.com/p/phratch/
 
It also include BYOB.

You are welcome to join, because the Scratch code is not really in good
condition: almost no comments, no unit tests, ... You can ask Jannik Laval,
the main Phratch dev: jannik.laval AT gmail.com how to help.

About learning Smalltalk, you can read these two books : 
- Squeak by Example : http://squeakbyexample.org/
- Pharo by Example : http://pharobyexample.org/

They will give you all the needed information how to code in Smalltalk.
