Ack, I didn't mean to commit this to trunk! I'm withdrawing it. ((a)
it needs review from someone other than me (*) and (b) I don't know
where those other deletions came from.)

(*) One potential worry is that this means the streams recorded by old
EventRecorderMorphs won't deserialise correctly. Which might not a
problem, but someone ought to think about the potential fallout.
