Hi Squeakers,
I'm glad to announce that I will run again this year.
The board power is limited by the amount of $ that it is handling.
So don't expect big plan$ from myself, I drive a tiny part of my own
manpower, the rest is already sold.
I wish I can continue to support opensmalltalk-vm, but this is in fact
quite independent from board participation.
Nonetheless, I have some ideals that could fit board membership:
- keep our community open and welcoming,
  avoid rotting contributions in the inbox, instead provide help, advice
and encouragement
  (that could occupy part of board technical discussions)
  don't hesitate to elect new core contributors
- support evolution of our image, cleaning / packaging / tooling with a
great care for backward compatibility and smooth evolution
  (that's already a good part of board technical discussions)
- build a peaceful relationship with Pharo, like initiated by
opensmalltalk-vm initiative,
  if possible, keep Squeak<->Pharo bridges open for code exchange (which is
a bit challenging with git switch)
- keep an interest in Cuis too, Juan still is active and inspired (and not
alone!)

I've not been the most active member last year, nor am I a natural leader,
but I will be happy to serve again.
Anyway I must run again, so that we have at least 8 candidates for 7 places!
But there's no reason to stop here, you don't have to wait half a century
or more like some of us did for stepping in :)
The board is warm and friendly.
