I do not know the answer to your question, but #setConverterFromCode
is sent by FileDirectory class>>#openSources:andChanges: which gave
a DNU when opening a SqueakV50.stc compressed sources file.

I moved the existing FileStream>>setConverterForCode method up one
level to handle that case.
