Hi Tim, hi Tim --
Tweaked via Morphic-mt.2000. Now that "Legacy shortcuts" preference should really offer text-editing shortcuts like back in 2000. ;-P You are welcome.
Best,
Marcel

Currently, that preference benefits from a great deal of re-use. Let me take a look at it how difficult those "toggling semantics" would be to bring back ...

Hi Tim, hi Tim --
Yes, the very semantics of that original shortcut are gone for good. With "Legacy keyboard shortcuts enabled", you can now do
CMD+SHIFT+9
CMD+SHIFT+0
to add/remove a level of () parentheses. Toggling works only for symmetric characters such as "" || ''
We discussed this here on the list and agreed on the new semantics. Sorry for the inconveniences.
Best,
Marcel

Can confirm. This ain't gonna fly. And that 'enclose selection' thing is just terrible UI; if I want to wrap a selection I expect to use a command operation of some sort. A simple key should provide a character.
