That is a lot of work on your part. What if you accept patch submissions only 
in ready-to-eat format?

For instance, I just do "svn diff ..." from the top of the tree to generate a 
patch. I didn't expect you to do anything more than feed it into "patch -d 
$trunk-top". If that breaks the tree, you could always revert the patch and 
request me to send an updated patch.
