And it seems that Ragnar has already done it for epoll (see post below) 
- I need to find his email and check with him. I agree on the 
libev/libevent thing, but as you say - that requires more changes 
presumably.

I am not sure it will fix our issue which seems to be that a socket 
suddenly gets closed twice (or something) but who knows.
