$ ldd *X11 | grep 'not found'
libGL.so.1 => not found
libXext.so.6 => not found
libSM.so.6 => not found
libICE.so.6 => not found

I think you are right, although the script for 14.04 gives some errors,
and loading those two packages did not seem to resolve the GL libraries.
But now I'm down to just these two missing libraries:
$ ldd *X11 | grep 'not found'
libGL.so.1 => not found
libXext.so.6 => not found
