One more thing: as of 18243a6 (https://github.com/OpenSmalltalk/opensmalltalk-vm/commit/18243a65b8d47740c48b4deb51c24b2eddec6cb5)
I have a non-segfaulting squeak/cog/spur-vm on windows.
Maybe that's again a good baseline?
