I like puns, multiple meanings, word play (don't we all?).  Cog can be punned in many ways: the sense of a gear is perfect for a virtual machine, the Greek root for knowing/learning cogno-/cogni- perfect for a sophisticated virtual machine.  The CoInterpreter co-operates with the Cogit.  Welcome to the cognoscenti ;-)
