[Vm-dev] [OpenSmalltalk/opensmalltalk-vm] 20180403 fails to access source repo (#259)

Running Newspeak images with 20180403 VM, I find that attempting to access the Newspeak source repository fails in the image. This occurs even in old images that work correctly under older VMs (20170628). Not sure what the issue is: OS/FFI access or something else.
