This is the exact problem described.

Please try " export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpulse-simple.so.0.1.0" (or whereever that file is on your pc, and maybe i386 instead of x86_64 if you're running 32bit)
and tell us if it helps in your case.
