Here is how:
Log in.
Click on 'template' in top of the page.
Click on 'settings'.
Scroll down to item Custom, Id: links, Title: Links
The textbox has one long line with links in smallwiki syntax.
Add the links to that.
Separate them with two <br> tags.
There can be no carriage return or linefeed in the line because of some 
smallwiki bug.
Scroll down the page and save it.
See that everything looks good and snapshot the site.
