The lighter yellow background for the main center page you have now at <http://wwwtest.squeak.org> is nice. Better that, than exactly the same as the other panes or white. In looking further at the purple, center pane background at <http://www.squeak.org>, the links color is a bit too close to the background color to be nicely visible, but a bit lighter purple version might be quite nice too.
