Add a "none of the above" option?

Hi everyone, I think that regardless of the number of candidates we get, we should add a "none of the above" option to the vote. Cons: Someone might lose to this option and feel rejected. Pros: Everyone that beats it will feel more actively endorsed by the community. A truly terrible candidate cannot be elected by default. Voters have an explicit way to say they want other candidates. What does everyone else think? Daniel

Squeak Board 2007 Elections

Hi All, I received another question about running for the board. As a reminder anyone that wants to run for the board needs to announce to squeak-dev by February 18, 2007. All you need to do is send an email to squeak-dev (squeak-dev(a)lists.squeakfoundation.org) stating that you are running. We would like you to include why you are running, what your experience is and what you would like to work on if elected. We currently have 4 candidates for 7 positions: Cees, Tim, Craig, and Bert. All, I had someone ask me this question so I thought I'd remind everyone about our candidate deadline. http://weeklysqueak.wordpress.com/2007/02/01/2007-squeak-board-elections-ann ounced/ If you are planning on running for the board you need to announce that fact to this list (squeak-dev) by Feb 18th 2007. http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/squeak-dev >From memory, I know that Craig, Tim, and Bert are running again. I do not know about Cees, Yoshiki, and Marcus. I could be wrong about who has announced and who has not. If so please correct me. Now is the time to encourage people to run. Also remember you will need an account on Squeak People http://people.squeakfoundation.org/ with a certification of at least apprentice to vote.
