Hi All,
News Team Report for April 2007.
Our Highest read article for April:
http://weeklysqueak.wordpress.com/2006/11/07/ah-ha/ had 1498 readers. This
is an older article that found some new traction. Our second highest was
http://weeklysqueak.wordpress.com/2007/04/16/google-summer-of-code-squeakn-s
tyle/ which got 1463 readers.
We are getting about 200-300 hits a day. Our best day in April was 1775
readers.
We were listed in the top and growing blogs on wordpress a number of times.
Our readership has dropped significantly mostly because of lack of time to
publish articles. We really could use some new members. If you have an
interest in writing articles for weeklysqueak please contact me.
Thanks,

Thanks Martine,
Nice article. We'll pass this on to our News team. They may want to talk
about it on their blog.
thank you,

We have a new folder on the www.squeak.org site: Press Room.
http://www.squeak.org/PressRoom/
It has two press releases, about the Squeak booth at Smalltalk Solutions
conf and one about squeak badges being available to purchase at the
show. (we don't yet have a site for people to purchase on line. Tim's
working on it. The second press release temporarily points to
www.squeak.org to purchase badges but that is erroneous)
You might consider this as a small news item.

Hello all,
I just saw www.smalltalk.org <http://www.smalltalk.org/> because they are
linking to our articles. I had no idea such a site existed. The thing that
caught my eye was the donate page. You have to wonder how many people
donate to smalltalk.org. So should we add a donate page to
weeklysqueak.wordpress.org?

Hi All,
News Team Report for March 2007.
There is very little but stats to report.
Our Highest read article for March:
http://weeklysqueak.wordpress.com/2007/03/13/minding-your-business-with-smal
ltalk-part-2-of-4/ had over 1400 readers (part 1 now has over 1500).
We are getting about 500 hits a day, plus we have about 400 regular readers
pulling data from Feeds. Our best day in March was 1173 readers.
We were listed as the top blog post of the day on wordpress once, and were
included in an article about wordpress as the top blog. We are frequently
listed in the top 50 wordpress posts, and usually in the top 20 of that list
when we post something new. That list does bring in a lot of readers.
Most of our articles are read by about 500 people. Some of our older
articles still get a number of readers.
We also are getting picked up by a number of other blogs:
http://tinyurl.com/2vgyao it's always fun to watch who references us.
We really could use some new members. If you have an interest in writing
articles for weeklysqueak please contact me.
Thanks,

Hi News Team,
CMSbox is a Squeak3.9/Seaside2.8 powered CMS which has been made available
by netstyle.ch for the Swiss marketplace (yes, there IS competition :) and
it has excellent features and already an impressive list of references.
Unfortunately the site has no English pages but if there are questions I'm
sure that Adrian will answer them.

Hello all,
I know it is bad form to toot our own horn but I thought I'd let everyone
know we have a new WeeklySqueak Record for one days traffic.
We had 3535 views today. That shatters our previous record which was around
2K. Also of note we have had a number of >1K days.
I guess someone is reading us!
