[ENH] ProjectDefaultAppearance

This one is handy for putting together presentations where you want the projects to look similar. >From the preamble: Adds two menu items to the appearance... menu. -save as default background -install default background The first saves the color, gradient, form, etc. of the current background, as well as all morphs that aren't SystemWindows, FlapTabs, Menus, or ProjectNavigationMorphs. The second changes the background display, as well as adding copies of the morphs behind the existing morphs in the World. Tested with 3696.

[ENH] BetterTouches

Fixes a problem with Player>>touchesA:, and also uses a better contact algorithm than bounding box intersection. The new algorithm uses BitBlt to determine whether any pixels overlap within the intersection of two morph's bounding boxes. It also works with rotated morphs. Each call to Morph>>touchesMorph: takes approx. 10ms on my 300Mhz G3 to find whether two ellipses (extent: 300@40) touch (assuming that their bounding boxes intersect; otherwise it will be much faster)

After I loaded it up with what seemed to me appropriate options for a box in this league (Intel P-III @ 850MHz, 15.0" UltraXGA TFT Display, etc.), I came up with ~ $4000, which isn't bad when you think of it as being a luggable "desktop" (not that I can spend that kind of money -- if I had it, I would probably tempted to buy one of the Apple 22" Portrait Displays, for which, as Alan says, "Lot's of pixels are nice to have"). Symbolic Math/Functions in Smalltalk

Hello all, I have a grad student who is starting to do a generic framework for digital audio signal processing in Smalltalk (should be portable to both Squeak and VisualWorks), and I know there are several good abstract math hierarchies (classes for functions, fcn. composition and application, polynomials, etc.) out there. [Bug] Copying SketchMorphs across Projects

I'm finding that if I use shift-select to grab multiple SketchMorphs then drag them into ProjectMorphs, the "Got It" symbol shows up, then weird things start happening. - First time, when I went into the Project target, there were no SketchMorphs there -- only empty rectangles. When I clicked on one, I got the traceback below. When I went back to the Project source, I could no longer bring up halos on any of those that I'd copied over. Everytime I cmd-clicked on them, only the ProjectMorph (target) got halos. I quit without saving. - Second time I tried just to copy a single sketch -- worked fine. - Then, I tried to copy two sketchMorphs again as a selection. This time Squeak totally hung -- cmd-period did no good, and I had to cmd-shift-esc-stand-on-right-foot to quit the application. This is 3.0 final with all updates. [BUG][FIX] Extended character entity handling in HTML code

HTML allows you to insert specific character value by number, for example   is a space. We can display values in range [9,255] (similar to HTML 3.2) This fix ensures that out of range refereneces, e.g. “ are replaced with suitable substitutes or with a space character, and do not cause a walkback This works with 3.0 and with 3.1.
