We've got a version of Printf on squeaksource (https://www.squeaksource.com/Printf) and another on squeaksource3(http://ss3.gemtalksystems.com/ss/NumberPrinter), along with NumberPrinter (same squeaksource3 project) which is used along with Printf.
Unfortunately they don't work together as well as they should; for example try
'%-0.1e' printf: -10
To get a proper result from that I have to go back to Printf-eem.17.
I'd also urge getting the NumberPrinter code off the 12-years-dead squeaksource3 repository. Maybe even merge them - hell, integrate them into trunk! Printing numbers nicely is pretty important.
