This affects a few people here, so I thought I should spread the weird.

I've just discovered that for reasons the previously excellent pigpiod daemon/library does not work on a Pi 5. We are apparently meant to use libgpiod now , which means rewriting a lot of stuff that I use for NuScratch, and writing a new set of FFI classes.
