The cryptography team could use the help of a qualified lawyer, to work on export requirements and licensing.
Is there a lawyer out there that would be willing to help? Or do you know a lawyer that would be willing to help?

The process is pretty simple (having done it for freedesktop.org a couple years back).
As to access for an open source project to legal council, Squeak might look at the recently formed Software Freedom Law Center.

FWIW, I contacted them a few months ago, asking them if they'd take on looking at SqueakL and they declined.
Pressing as to the reason, they cited not enough resources to take it on.
Maybe now's a better time or someone from the core group would have better luck...
