Mmmm well now given your resume, if you'd like to add this feature, and maybe some of the ones mentioned earlier (like zoom window support) Then well I'll integrate them into the pending VM. I think if you review the Squeak mail list on this topic you'll see some easy ones.
If so, email me your thoughts and I'll send you a exported CW project file.
If it not too much trouble, please send me the project file.
The current update stream for 2.9 should contain the current macintosh source code minus a fix or two from this AM.
Could you specify the URL for 2.9 download?
To get at the source code you require do
InterpreterSupportCode writeMacSourceFiles. Interpreter translate: 'interp.c' doInlining: true.
Ensure your macintosh VM has about 40MB of memory allocated.
Questions email me
Unfortunately, I'm just getting into Squeak, so I don't think I'll be productive enough in a time-frame to help you with the 3.0 VM.
However, I can try, and whatever progress I make, I'll send to you via private email. I supposed everyone would rather that changes be made to the Interpreter Support Code in Smalltalk and not in the generated C code.
