As part of the upcoming 5.2 I decide migrate all my odds experiments to it changing as little as possible.
Start on Mac and today wish to continue on Linux My flavor is Ubuntu Mate 16LTS
The only Squeak downloadoable via synaptic is old Stack Vm from Ian. Which is fine as almost all I use daily is customized 4.5 updated to before Cog (near to 4.6 final)
The point is when you download from
http://ftp.squeak.org/6.0alpha/Squeak6.0alpha-17967-32bit/Squeak6.0alpha-179 67-32bit-All-in-One.zip
Or
http://ftp.squeak.org/6.0alpha/Squeak6.0alpha-17967-32bit/Squeak6.0alpha-179 67-32bit-201712221331-Linux.zip
Have troubles when unzipped to another folder as Desktop
Also the .sh fails if you manually move the X.image and X.changes you made in Mac to the buried folders, being the All in One the Resources.
Why is this ?
And if you touch manually some inside stop working
Help , Linux people

Hello Edgar
I understand that you do this in Ubuntu Mate 16LTS.
If you unzip the All-In-One (AIO) and double click on 'squeak.sh' it does not work?
If yes, the please open a terminal window for the directory where 'squeak.sh' is in and do
./squeak.sh
That will give you the error message why it does not start. Please post that here.

I should be more clear In both cases, the Linux zip and the AllInOne you decompress and the .sh works.
What do not works is if you move the .image and the .changes coming from Mac and you put inside the folder where the .sh looks
Worst is then you could not use the original.
And moving the working folder inside another folder stop working
Seems moving to Desktop works.
Tomorrow I repeat again
Any recording screen app for Linux ?
