This mailing list is rather active. What tool do you use for reading mailing lists? Is it an normal e-mail client or is something more specialized to handle mailing list threads and filtering? Do you use Celeste or another squeak package?
Thanks Ruben

GNUS, inside gnu emacs, of course. I get threading, auto-deletion of old read messages after some configurable number of days (unless I mark it for later), and an interface that looks exactly like reading newsgroups (and the rest of my email).

You can also access it as a newsgroup with unlimited history. For me, this list is the group gmane.comp.lang.smalltalk.squeak.general on news.gmane.org (accessed with Gnus of course).

I use procmail on our IMAP server to filter list messages into a special mail box, separate from my regular mail. For reading I use Apple Mail, which I'd call a "normal mail client", but it does support threading. I used Mozilla Thunderbird before, which I can recommend, too.
[Even more OT] Funny fact: there is an increasing number of people who equate email with a web mail interface. They seem to coincide with those people preferring web forums over mailing lists, because those are nicely threaded. *sigh*

I use Agent, which handles email threads in exactly the same way it handles threading of usenet. I pretty much never delete email, so my Agent mail directory is somewhere over 1.5 GB right now (all my email since about 1996).
Interestingly, it appears the original poster is also using Agent, albeit the trial version. The full version is very much worth the cost, if you're using Windows.

I tried Agent and looked at GNUS. As I'm on Windows and haven't to much time to learn GNUS I'll stick with Agent.
Thanks everybody for your help Ruben
