Hi,
Who wrote the play writing project on Bob's Swiki?
I am running the latest 3.1 and if I click on the scriptingBench area I can type one character and then it deselects it. So in order to enter whole words I have to click the field for each letter.
Also, I'd like to record my "play" to a wave or something. How do I do this? I pulled up the RecordingControlsMorph and click record but I get this error

I'm running squeak under linux with squeak3.0 pre1 vm..if there's anything else that would be helpful just let me know. Thank you.
Sincerely, jsj
Me -- it's the project from the last chapter in my book that I was trying to get to work in 3.0. With Bob's and Ned's help, it is now (see their earlier messages). I'm uploading now the version that actually works in 3.0.

Ok, it works now, but the RecorderMorph is still broken. Anyone know why this is? Is the the Linux VM's fault?

The EventRecorder or the SoundRecorder? The SoundRecorder doesn't work because the default Linux VM doesn't support recording...

The RecordingControlsMorph. I figured this was a sound recorder, but maybe it's not..
I don't see a SoundRecorder morph, how do I start it? And you say "default" Linux VM, so I assume there are patches to add this capability? Where can I find them?

I have a question about the RecordingControlsMorph. I was playing around with it (building a new recording meter for it), and did something that made my image swell from about 10Meg to about 30 Meg.
I think I must have a bunch of scrap sounds I recorded stuck in the image, but I have not yet figured out where the RecordingControlsMorph would have put them.
Can someone give me a hint? I think I'm stuck in the mindset of having to tell the computer to save stuff I want to keep rather than expecting it to keep everything unless I tell it to forget it.
