That's OK - no hard feelings here.
What I react to is more the association of GPL with communism (in it's negative forms).
It may well be that the open-source software community has certain similarities to Marx's utopian vision, albeit unintentionally. "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs" seems to be somewhat descriptive of the open-source movement.
