You need to mail someone at UIUC... but I don't know the procedure as that was lost long ago. However, I will chime in with a reccomendation... the following is always the last item I see on messages I get from the Galileo mailing list- I think it is very helpful and not at all intrusive to include this information with every message. I think it would be great if the list server for Squeak were able to append this to the messages it sends out.

It's actually standard on all the other lists where I'm subscribed. I would highly recommend adding such a (perhaps *very* short message) to each mail from the list even though that does not prevent people from asking how to unsubscribe (at least not on the OpenGL game developers list ;-)

Given the really heavy email count lately; has anyone considered doing a digested version of the mailing list to help cut down on some traffic? thanks for all the informative and interesting threads (wish I could find time to do stuff). S

I would also like to have digests.

I've noticed that there's been a few different discussions recently on making changes to the Squeak list (adding a how-to trailer at the end of each message, adding [Squeak] automatically to the subject, adding support for digests, etc.), but no response from a list administrator on what might be added. Is anyone in charge of the list right now, or is it on auto-pilot?
(The Squeak home page at UIUC lists John Brant as the list admin, but I'm not sure if that's up-to-date or not...)
Just wondering...
