For perhaps the first time ever I’ve just tried to load some code that uses ‘_’ in method names. I had to set the preference before it would actually load.
Then when trying to browse the code I kept getting warnings about a possibly corrupted sources file. After carefully checking that I wasn’t actually doing damage I took a quick look in mantis and noticed report 7547 from 2010 (!). 4 and a half years ago? And still broken? If underscores are so rarely used in message selectors that a rather obnoxious problem hasn’t got fixed in that long then I suggest it might be smarter to revoke this option completely and avoid the whole issue.

I'm relying on underscore in structured class names and enable the 'Allow underscore selectors' property for this to work. I haven't met any problems so far. I'm not using underscore in method names. --Trygve
