In respect for the net tradition of not broadcasting personal correspondence, I try to handle personal responses and disputes via private mail. How does one directly target a person at Disney? I've nothing but good things to say in my messages, but a message to <random>@bobo.rd.wdi.disney.com awaits delivery. As a mail administrator, I find it questionable to make a habbit of speaking with ones ears plugged.
Thoughts? Ideas?

Who are you suggesting has their ears plugged?
There are return addresses on all our Squeak postings. Those of us who are active on Squeak include... DanI, ScottW, JohnM, TedK, and AlanK. We are all @wdi.disney.com.
If you're trying to get someone else, I have no idea. You might try phoning.

Things get sent from bobo.rd.wdi.disney.com, but attempts to mail there hang. Maybe adding an MX pointing at wdi.disney.com for names served to the outside world might be and idea.
Here's what I see in my mailer and in plentitude:
1998-08-30 02:00:04 alank@bobo.rd.wdi.disney.com: remote_smtp transport deferred: No route to host 1998-08-30 02:20:01 bobo.rd.wdi.disney.com [206.16.10.110]: No route to host
1998-08-31 12:20:00 alank@bobo.rd.wdi.disney.com: lookuphost router deferred: host lookup did not complete
I believe firewalls are a fine idea, but your return addresses now don't show the legitimate way in.
Sorry if I sound short,
Christopher,

Actually it does. The header from Dan's email said:

Maybe you should instruct your email client to use the "From:" field rather than the "X-Sender:" field.

Well, there is no intent to be inaccessible. I'm pretty sure that the ones I gave you work just fine. I assumed this was a no-brainer because when I look at our messages in Eudora, they are listed as, eg, From: Dan Ingalls DanI@wdi.disney.com I know that mail to this address gets through because I get lots of junk mail 8-(.
I'll check the Swiki and UIUC Squeak pages and make sure this info is available as appropriate.
