An easy way is to put the port into the url. See

IIRC the code redirects until it has the cookies it needs. There were
some patches, that should correct this. This is especially critical
for users with cookies disabled (which is why it's not cool to put the
port into the cookie). They should be in the later Seaside versions
but I can't tell you if they fix your specific problem.
