I don't think that was quite the arangement, at least not as David
Liddle (ex-CEO) explained it to us. The deal was something like Allen
guaranteeing the loans to run the company with his $100m. The average
annual burn at Interval was something around $40m so a mere 100mill
wouldn't have lasted very long! It was supposed to generate income via
licensing/spinoff/royalties etc. Several companines were spun out and
most of them failed - big surprise! That's what you have to expect.
