Is 2.9a pre1 the latest VM?  It is dated August, so I'm not sure.  If
it is not, where can I find unix sources for a later version?

3.0 has stalled at two points for me in the ~2-3 minutes I've used
it.  First, it stalls in the preferences window when I select a nother
category.  It also stalls when I pull up the Supplies menu at the
bottom and select the Text for Editing and try to close it with the X
halo.  I'm not sure if this is a bug in 3.0gamma or if I just have an
old VM.  These seem to "out in the open" to go unnoticed..
