Hi!
    First of all, what is the platform? Windows, Unix or Mac?
    Second, try to use my LogClient for logging: you can find it on 
squeakmap and it is more light than direct transcript logging (you can 
log to a file too).
    Look at the preference: try to avoid the "performance boost" option, 
because on Win XP give me some problems...and I fear it can give strange 
behavior....
    Isolate the matter and build a small test class, so we can test with 
you, to find if it is only an "image weired problem".
