Bliss.

I’ll share some understanding I have about mental illness, a problematic growing pestilence in America. My heart breaks seeing so much suffering. Andsoi have learned a great deal over my own decades of suffering and 𝙨𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮, and it may benefit others to hear some wisdom. I’m grateful for your allowances.

Poor mental health can be attributed to 3 aspects of one’z personality.

    1) 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲, focused on negative outcomes.
    2) 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲, Just who do you think you are? Rumination results in the “Death spiral” or Flushing the spiritual toilet on the piece of shit you think you are. Through the glass darkly.
    3) 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Isolated without emotional support. Even active Persecution, Rejection, Ostracism, Oppression & Affliction. It happens. You are being sent the message, however subtly, that you are not welcome.

𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 is the common facet: 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲, 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 & 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

These 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 result in: 
    a) 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (especially the last, 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻)
    b) 𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 (the second, 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲)
    c) 𝙨𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 (3rd, 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲)

So the Good Book instructs and guides us to address within, three things: 
    i) hold onto 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲, stay hopeful more than any other thing. Trust the covenant, it will only get better.
    ii) think highly of yourselves, have a 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲, as you are baptized by water, fire and the Holy Spirit; You are now very special, now a child of God. He accepts you and cherishes you. You are LOVED! So don’t feel so bad for yourselves.
    iii) be in congregation and pursue 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Get networked. Bring God between you. Love one another.

So I pray this may provide some insight, if nothing else than what my trials and tribulations taught me over the decades. Suffering, indeed. Now Sanctified! All praise to the Most High!
