I already tried that change, and though it made things better, it did not not eliminate crashes. Moreover, I haven't found out which test was breaking the fonts. Making that change caused a lot of tests to fail, and I haven't looked at all of them yet. So, there are probably several things wrong, which makes it harder to fix them. -Ralph
