[Vm-beginners] How difficult is to fix this keyboard input issue?

Hi!

In order to have a decent keybinder/keymapping/shortcut package, we need to
fix this crap:

I don't know if someone can take a look.  Maybe it's easy to fix, maybe it's
not :S.  Maybe someone can just give some directions :).
