This package is an experiment in SPort, therefore we try to use SPort
as much as we can and avoid WAPlatform and see how it works (not so
well so far).

Now the SPort situation in Squeak is sad as documented by the hacks we
had to introduce to make it work. Please keep them unless you verified
that they are now longer needed.

I don't think we can assume that all platforms use / as a path separator ;-)
