Smalltalk/X has had this for quite a while, in the form of a dialog
that could be brought up with a list of category names to choose.
In a given image, there could be quite a few.

I believe I've also seen method protocol browsers, where you could select
method protocols and then the class>>method to browse. This may have
been part of either Smalltalk/X or perhaps it was something that Aoki
did in Jun or Mei.

And now I'm looking at the browsers in the VisualWorks 5i beta... oh my.
