I don't actually remember the details anymore but if you look at the
code for VMMakerTool (in the VMMaker package on SM) you'll see how I did
a very similar seeming thing in the VMMaker UI.

Brent also might find some of it useful for merging together the various
bits ofthe bugfixer.
