winCVS help needed

I'm not sure if this is a useful sugestion or not but if you are having problems with winCVS you can use cvs under cygwin to perform CVS on windows.  It behaves pretty much like unix CVS.  I think you can do a minimal install and include CVS so as not to pull in all of cygwin if you don't want it.  just a thought...
