I don't see it on my 1.5GHz Powerbook, either -- *most* of the time.
But if I have enough active morphs on the screen, it does become an
annoyance.  Try opening a few BouncingAtomsMorphs.  When you have
enough that you see a drop in the frame rate, this effect should be
readily noticeable.
