Actually, I think it would require some changes, if only because the process of making a release would need to be automated to the point that it doesn't take too much time. But Doug is more qualified to answer this. A short write-up (bullet list) would already be a great start. If you come to the conclusion that the term 'constructive process' is not well chosen you may change it of course. Hi While reviewing the class comment Eddie did for the class Morph I was wondering about Morph naming. | m | m _ Morph new openInWorld. m name: 'someArbitraryString'. m name "<ALT-P>" 'a Morph<someArbitraryString>(2814)' What are the reasons behind this asymmetry? What do I have to do if I just want to name a morph for later retrieval? (World submorphNamed: 'someArbitraryString') == m gives back true. What should be put in the class comment at the moment to explain this issue? Thanks in advance four your suggestions Hannes

I am puzzled MyListMorph is supposed to create and display a list morph with sample text in the list. this snippet works: --------------------------------------------------- (MyListMorph new initialize: self myMenu x: 10 y: 10) openView. --------------------------------------------------- myMenu "defined as a class method" ^ #(choice1 choice2 choice3). --------------------------------------------------- this snippet does not work: --------------------------------------------------- (MyListMorph new initialize: self myOtherMenu x: 10 y: 10) openView. --------------------------------------------------- myOtherMenu "defined as an instance method" ^ #(choice1 choice2 choice3). --------------------------------------------------- and this one, of course, works: --------------------------------------------------- | w aa | w _ MyListMorph new. aa _ w myOtherMenu. w initialize: aa x: 800 y: 600. w openView. --------------------------------------------------- Why does the class method return the collection but the instance method does not. Is the instance not created after the [new] message even before the [initialize:x:y:] message? How would I write a single line command that works with an instance method? IPAQ 3150 & 802.11 & Squeak

Hi everyone, Well, I'm thinking of short-circuiting this whole getting Squeak to run on my sub, and getting a used IPAQ 3150 with the expansion pack so I can plug in a CF 802.11 card. Getting the VM ported to my Axis board is quite simply far beyond my abilities (the GCC cross- compiler/make system for this board is not compatible with the "normal" compiler). A couple questions: Does anyone have this combination? How big does it make the IPAQ? (specific dimensions if you have them) Has anyone tried running Linux with Squeak on this? The guys at handhelds. org seem to say that running an 802.11 card under Linux is no problem, which is definitely a priority for me. [BUG] Sixx: SixxReadStream

Hi. If Sixx wants to open an empty file it crashes but adding a guard close prevents this. It's currently in the SPrevayler changeset so it would be kind if you tell me when somebody fixed it in the sixx package.
