I just tried out the BFAV browser on the KCP archive. Somewhere around number 88 it failed because the #timeSent of an entry was nil. I really can't quite work out how this could arise since the mail implementation of #time seems to take some pains to prevent that possibility. A quick hack changing the ArchivePost>timeSent to return 0 if the ivar is nil got me past that initial problem. The MailMessage>time method uses ifError:, a crime for which there is no adequate punishment. Well, maybe an enforced watching of dumb and dumberer?
It also failed to load a large number of entries but since BFAV seems to do that regularly I didn't pay much attention.

and BFAV2 doesn't do it, either :)
