[V3dot10] Release team problems; Draft Pavel

For example my first specific development intended as a contribution to 
3.10 was over 3 months ago with the improved SUnit and TestRunner with 
facilities for categorizing tests, has this even been tried? Ralphs 
feedback was a summary and characteristically negative "it had better 
not break anything".
