I don't like the direction you are going.  It seems complicated.  I
don't need a system to store images, and expect that it will have to
create a hundred images for each test run, so if you do try to save
images, you will have space problems.  The focus should be on testing,
not building, though of course you have to build an image to run
tests.

As far as I can tell, you are not making something I want to use.
