This is somthing I'd like for Magma to support directly, but I'm facing a mountain of work at the moment, so I can't say when I'll get to work on it.
In the meantime, Göran's team is building Gjaller, where I think they use a Prevayler approach to do this. Check out:

I am looking at a situation where the locale application is some time not connected to the net, in this case the objects are saved locally in a single-user Magma DB. Then when connexion to the net is back, what is a proper way to syncrhonize the local Magma DB to the distant Magma DB?
