Hi, Tim! Essentially, you want to copy-mirror the CVS repository *itself*, not a normal, checked-out tree. Have a look at CVSup, a CVS mirroring utility, at http://www.polstra.com/projects/freeware/CVSup/ or http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/cvsup.html. The FAQ at http://www.polstra.com/projects/freeware/CVSup/faq.html indicates that you should be able to find Linux-compatible binaries. You may also be able to use RSYNC. See the "Using your own local CVS repository mirror" instructions at http://www.openssl.org/source/repos.html for how one project handles this. Selecting "2 halt" and inspecting brought me to the method Compiler#evalute:in:to:notifying:ifFail. I wrote a script to access this method directly ( see below ). I am getting nil instead of 3. When I debugged, it looks like the Parser is generating the following MethodNode: DoIt ^ nil What do I need to do to get Compiler-love? | exprStream result failBlock | exprStream _ ReadWriteStream on: ''. exprStream nextPutAll: '1 + 2'. failBlock _ [ Transcript show: 'ArithmeticExpression#eval FAILED: ', exprStream contents. ]. result _ Compiler new evaluate: exprStream in: nil to: nil notifying: nil ifFail: failBlock. ^ result

Hello Brent, the argument that follows the keyword evaluate: should not be a stream, but a string. Write result _ Compiler new evaluate: exprStream contents in: nil to: nil notifying: nil ifFail: failBlock. or simpler: result _ Compiler new evaluate: ' 1 + 2 ' in: nil to: nil notifying: nil ifFail: failBlock. to get the expected result. Brent, The ReadWriteStream is a bit confused about how much there is available to read. ImageMorph events

Hello, I've a class with a couple of instance variables that each reference an OrderedCollection of ImageMorphs. How can I use the handleMouseDown: evt and mouseDown: evt methods with these OrderedCollections ? All the elements in one collection should have uniform behaviour on click and each element should have different behaviour in the second collection on clicking. Or is there a better way to do that. [GOODIE] VMMaker one-click build and restart (unix only so far)

Change your tires while driving down the road talking on your cell phone. This change set adds one-button build and restart to VMMaker. Open a VMMakerTool, set up your configuration options, then click the 'One-Button Build' button and watch it go. When the build is complete, the VM is restarted on the fly. Prerequisites: - Unix/Linux platform - VMMaker-3-1-version3.cs. - OSProcess 2.6.1 - CommandShell 1.5.2 This thing really needs some sound effects. Perhaps somebody could sample a pinball machine, and tie the sounds into the build process. - Dave

Hello Squeakers, I finally managed to put the juggling tutorial (not the juggling tutorial tutorial) on-line so if you want to impress yourt friends with Squeak why not point them to http://www.squeaknews.com/archive/2001/october/juggle.html as well, while you show them other cool Squeak stuff?
