Re: Macintosh close window box?

Does Squeak handle AEQuit? and the other basic Apple Events? In multiple windowing apps, the close box just closes the window. In single window only apps, the close box mimics the Quit menu. An example of this is the Chooser windows or the TCP/IP control panel. I can see that a "force quit without saving" option would be useful but should not be the default behavior. This could be implemented by holding down the option/alt key when closing the window or qutting... a feature common on the Mac: the option/alt key enhancing a given behavior. Unfortunately, I don't think this carries through as well on Windows or *nix. I thought checking for the need to save was a part of any Quit processing, regardless of when or who initiates it. [BUG] buttons overlap scrollbars

When a morph with a script is duplicated ( I used the green halo) a walkback occurs when the duplicated script is dropped on the World. Karl

Suggestion for ProjectNavigationMorph

The buttons that have a popUpMenu on the ProjectNavigatorMorph could have a little indicator to show just that. Netscape has a little triangle pointing down in the upper right corner of the button to indicate this. See attached image. Karl

[BUG]World has a one pixel green frame.

Well, I don't know if this is a bug, but when Squeak is in a window the world has a one pixel green frame/ border. I think I have seen this as a general issue with PasteUpMorphs . Karl

A way to solve different keyboard mapping

The 11/12/2000 I wrote to the list about translation problem du to different keyboard mapping between Mac and Window.... Richard A. O'Keefe clarifies that "Macintoshes use an older character set known as MacRoman. Latin-1 and MacRoman don't just assign different numbers to the characters, they disagree about which characters exist. " Finally I found that I don't need to re-key everything for Mac, or to make a program to remap everything between MacRoman and ISO-8859, I just need to use Nescape Communicator and to select the item 'Character set: Western (ISO-8859-1)' in the view menu. If this can help other people. "Thats all Folks"

[BUG] World Menu "find a change sorter" is broken
