You are listing a data structure, not a collaboration of objects. The question is: What are the tasks you want to do that you need all that data for? Forget about most of the data first (you can add it later) and ask for responsibilities: What shall a "Person" be able to do? Or try it the other way around: e.g. what is it, that I do with the information which education a person has? The answer names a responsibility and the follow-up question is: which object should carry that responsibility. Draw CRC-Cards and play with them. First figure out what an object can do (and this shouldn't be: "Show me the date of birth", but e.g. "Notify me if somebody has birthday today") and then ask what it has to know in order to accomplish its tasks. [OT] Speak to Squeak (AVCSR)

This may be interesting for some of us. It's Open Source. Audio-visual continuous speech recognition (AVCSR) uses a set of visual and audio features to increase the accuracy of speech recognition in noisy environments. The AVCSR package uses OpenCV and contains a set of Visual C++ functions for visual feature extraction as well as binary code for audio feature extraction (MFC coefficients) and the fusion model (coupled hidden Markov model). A set of test .avi files are also provided. For my squeak app I need to set the title of the window squeak runs in. I'm a bit lazy to run through the gazillion lines of squeak code, though. Does anyone know by heart where I have to look? I'm not familiar with the hooks you speak of, but if MagmaRepositoryController could listen for an image save it could, theoretically, close the sockets and files. Is there also a hook into the image starting? That's where it could be restarted. Not having used Seaside yet, this idea never occurred to me, but it seems like it would be an easy way to deploy a running server image with no need for startup instructions. Is this the primary advantage to doing this? I'm working on 1.0gamma5 right now, which fixes a bug I was surprised to discover this weekend involving class evolution. If you get those hooks put in, or otherwise know how it's done, send me the code and I'll see about incorporating it.
